VIII Strength

In what way does creating a sacred space assist a Tarot reading?

VIII Strength

 Major Arcana

Surrendering The Need for Control

The act of Humbling.

Facing Obstacles and Fears - Overcoming.

VIII Strength.jpg

Straight away the energy portrayed is calm authority.  The lion is often a symbol for masculine energy, being the leader, with a ferocious roar to let everyone know he is king.  There are co-operating forces for the lion to be surrendering and there is trust and as the lion locks with the maidens’ eyes, tail is between the legs speaks non-threatening.  The lion representation may be seen as the ego submitting.  This is no so much about your intellectual knowing, rather allowing the openness and compassion to be flowing.  The maiden sees herself in the lion, the lion is received with compassion, there is no need for dominating, rather there is a partnering.

There is a gentleness, along with a strength that appears unyeilding an air of harmony and resonance with nature and higher forces, an invisible energy is present to see, uniting the lion and maiden.  There is energy being created, her ruddy cheeks suggesting inner strength is needed to be holding space.  The white gown a symbol of peace and purity, the green and red flowering garland about her waist and crown in her hair, denotes natures abundance force is part of this surrendering, the lemniscate above the maiden's crown, as if harmonising the energies.

This card is a symbol facing the obstacles with calm authority, compassion leading, a looking within, there is no force but natural influence.   There is a synergy, a wisdom guiding that comes from surrendering the thinking and intellectual reasoning.  The mountain is saying there are things to overcome and that might be realized through humbling,  Strength card points to a character within that is subtle but impactful and influencing.

In What Way Does Creating a Sacred Space Assist a Tarot Reading?

Using the Strength card as a measure.

Creating a sacred space is a way of connecting with Divine Sacred Energies and aligning with what is natural brings calm and strength beneath a Tarot Reading.

Creating a sacred space before conducting a reading, is a way of letting go the world, the thinking, the musts, have to dos, the reading is not about telling anyone what to do, rather allowing inner/divine wisdom to flow through.

Creating a sacred space is way of surrendering the ego’s many guises not worthy imposter syndrome, or the  know it all that wants to direct and give a telling.

Creating a sacred space is a way of humbling, of dropping any worries generating energies that align with Tarot Reading.

Creating a sacred space, holds space for the reading to be the medium of energy and information and extend that to the client sharing insights to create the reading.
